
Esther Oluwabunmi Olatunji was born in Nigeria and grew up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She earned her B.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. During her undergraduate studies, her research focused on the microwave-assisted synthesis of organic molecules as potential antimalarial agents, fostering her interest in chemical research and molecular design. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Southern Methodist University, Ashe is particularly interested in understanding fundamental chemical reactivity and developing innovative approaches to challenges in health, energy, and sustainability. Outside of research, Esther enjoys playing the violin, reading, and singing karaoke. She is passionate about lifelong learning, scientific discovery, and inspiring future generations of scientists.
