We will investigate the molecular crosstalk centered around transition metals involving O₂, NO, and H₂S, which is prevalent in neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's. This study will employ model complexes and amyloidogenic peptides to unravel the underlying chemistry in these diseases, facilitating systematic therapeutic development and drug discovery.
